“I wanted to create an improved method of collecting urine from a female with limited mobility while in bed or overnight, so I invented this. My design would serve as a viable alternative to catheters or adult diapers.”
Features
- Would consist of a device that would be positioned up against the urethra
- Would be less intrusive than a tampon as it would not be inserted into the vagina
- The opposite end would be attached to a tube that would lead to a biodegradable, expandable, IV-style collection bag
- This holding container would clip, hang, or sit on the floor below the bed
- It would effectively funnel the urine to the collection bag
- It would serve as a viable alternative to a catheter or adult diaper
- Would measure less than 1 foot high, approximately 3 to 4 feet long, and 6 to 8 inches wide
